Nigeria is in a situation where 133 million Nigerians are multidimensionally poor, despite cash transfers from the Federal Government reaching less than 1% of them. It is my hope that Nigeria optimizes this oil windfall by focusing on two priorities. First, we must fight insecurity by funding security agencies to build the capacity needed to defeat terrorists. Only then can we have a functioning economy. Second, we must address the power crisis decisively and effectively. We cannot go back to sharing a few thousand naira among a few people in rural areas.
