The Commission on Religious Freedom has been coming to Nigeria annually to investigate petitions regarding the massacre of Christians and claims of Christian genocide. While these commissioners have continued to come to Nigeria to examine these allegations, they have not received a direct response from the Nigerian government across various administrations.
